Got a Maid is a Sarasota based cleaning company owned by David Kauffman, with over 30 reliable and friendly contract cleaners.

David Kauffman, grew up in the Mennonite faith on a family farm in tiny Montezuma, Ga., south of Macon. He attended private school until the eighth grade, then got his GED and went to work on the farm. A few years later he joined one of his brothers at a company that sold sheds and gazebos, working as a delivery man.

Entrepreneurship runs in the family. In Georgia, customers can still buy "Grandma Kauffman's Amish Homestyle Jam." 

Married in 2007, Kauffman and wife Toni, decided to start Got A Maid?

He made the decision driving across the Ringling Causeway when he saw a sign on a car for a dog-walking business.

"That kind of clinched the deal," he says. "I said, if she can make it, then I can start a cleaning business." 

"Even in a bad economy, you can succeed in America," he says. "I'm a huge American fan."
